Souls explores the female soul through abstract forms in wood, using the character of the material and its finish to express the ways we carry our lived experiences. Deirdre embodies a life both beautiful and tragic, her scars holding the persistent memory of pain and sorrow. Rhya, weathered by life, has found tranquility through acceptance, meeting her circumstances without allowing hardship to consume her. Together, these works reflect on the intimate relationship between experience and identity, giving physical form to the grief we carry, the peace we find, and the inner lives that remain unseen.
